Prosthesis

A denture is a fixed or removable device used to replace one or more missing teeth. It fills the gaps between teeth and prevents the remaining teeth from shifting or weakening while allowing you to chew and speak properly.

Removable Prosthesis:

Removable dentures are dental restorations that can be easily removed and are intended to replace one or more missing teeth.

They can be complete or partial depending on the patient's needs

They are often recommended when bone resorption is very significant and an implant cannot be placed.

Fixed Prosthesis:

It is a restoration of decayed or discolored teeth so that they regain normal function and appearance.

There are different types of fixed prostheses:

  • Crown on natural tooth or on implant

  • Bridge on natural tooth or implant

  • Inlay/Onlay

  • Facet
